Our students are looked at as individuals, each with their own goals and desires that may be different from other students. All that we require is a willingness to try and a heart to learn. From your adult Martial Arts training,  you can expect the following benefits:

Fitness - The principles of Martial Arts techniques are based on the design of your body. As you progress in Martial Arts you will learn to coordinate speed and power, and develop a concentration to focus all of your body's strength into a small, hard striking surface like the edge of the hand or the heel of the foot.

Self-Confidence - This does not come naturally for many people, but self-confidence can be developed over a period of time.  Through Martial Arts, as you accomplish new goals, your confidence level increases. Martial Arts instills a sense of discipline and self-confidence that can carry over to all aspects of your life.

Self-Defense - Martial Arts allows a woman to emphasize many of her natural  physical strengths, such as power in the legs, while learning a method of self-defense efficient against a much larger opponent. Knowing you can defend yourself, your confidence will grow. And confidence alone is usually enough to deter potential attackers.

The Martial Arts for adults program is intended for adults of any age and abilities. ATA Taekwondo offers a program for everyone's needs from Basic (beginner) to experienced, for individuals or the family.

Fit 2 F.I.G.H.T. SELF-DEFENSE FITNESS PROGRAM

F.I.G.H.T. is designed for worst case scenarios, when escaping from the situation may not be a viable option.  In every situation where you can't escape, you learn three options: restrain, incapacitate or terminate the attacker. You decide what is legally and morally justified and necessary based upon the circumstances, not the type of attack. This is a key concept. Many programs only teach degrees of force based on the attack coming in. A pin to a wall by a drunk at a friend's house doesn't equate to a pin to a wall by a stranger in your own home in the middle of the night with other intruders heading toward a family member. The attacks are the same - the end tactic needs to be different.

Just about anyone can do it, regardless of strength, size, or physical fitness. You'll get in great shape, have an absolute blast and get the same kind of confidence that the professional operators (law enforcement & military) who train in F.I.G.H.T. do - the confidence that comes from knowing you can handle whatever situation you might encounter. It's confidence that comes out not only in a threatening situations (which will hopefully never occur) but also in your daily life.

In F.I.G.H.T. you will learn how to:
- Defend against various strikes
- Escapes and releases from chokes, bear hugs and other grappling techniques
- Defenses against guns
- Defenses against multiple attackers

This program is for ADULTS ONLY (17 & up).
